DC VS. SEGA 3: CRISIS ON TWO WORLDS (2011) The announcement of this game in 2010 would have been the most hype-inducing thing ever! After 10 years, Sega and DC Comics are gonna cross over again? Isn’t that wild? It felt unreal! Like a fever dream everyone had, for some reason. But no, it’d be a real thing in a year or so! But…who’s gonna develop the game? Sega stopped making fighting games after VF5 and they didn’t seem to have any interest in tackling that genre again. Well, that’s when a little company called Eighting would step in, having experience from working on the Bloody Roar series. They’ll be the ones to develop this 3D crossover fighter, and they’ll give everything a massive glow up. The visuals would be more stunning, as now everything looks like they came straight out of the comics. The gameplay would be faster and relentless, like in the Bloody Roar games, and this game would have the equivalent of the Beast Change mechanic of that game, but it’d be more like a 15

DC SUPER HEROES VS. VIRTUA FIGHTER (1997) Alrighty, onto the fourth game of Sega and DC’s legendary partnership. Something you'd have to notice about MSHvSF is that there were a lot, and I mean a lot, of reused assets, not just for the characters, but also the stages. It’d be the same here, but not too blatant. Mostly because, well, it’s gonna run on the Sega Model 3 system board, which is a much more powerful arcade system compared to the Sega Model 2. So much so that games like Virtua Fighter 3 and Fighting Vipers 2 had to wait until a console stronger than the Saturn (the Dreamcast) drops to get console ports! So yeah, the graphics and stuff for this game would be given a massive glow-up to run on this board. Anyway, enough graphics talk! Gameplay’s gonna be the same as TTvVF. And you can summon your partner for an assist attack, and…that's pretty much it for gameplay. And now for the least easy part of this game: the roster. “Least easy?” you ask. “Seems pretty easy to me

TEEN TITANS VS. VIRTUA FIGHTER (1996) Now this, right here? This is where the legendary crossover series begins, as well as the beginning of the tag-team mechanic that will define the series going forward, with much more improvements along the way! And once again, where as it all started with the mutants in MVC, it all started with the Teen Titans in the Sega universe, specifically Virtua Fighter. Although, given that this is a 3D fighter we’re talking about, how will Sega tackle a tag-team mechanic for this? For that, let’s take a look at Rival Schools. There, the fights are actually one-on-one, with the partner jumping in during special attacks, and after the first round, the player can switch with their partner for the next round or stay in the battle. That’ll be my take on a 3D tag-team fighter like this one right here, in the years before Tekken Tag Tournament would do it better. Improvements will be made later on, of course! In 2016, fans got to see the very first teaser trailer for the next Jump vs. Capcom game, showing Ryu and newcomer X about to battle Luffy and another newcomer, Deku, about to duke it out. At the end of the teaser, we got the title of this new game called...Jump vs. Capcom.' With a title like that, it led many people into wondering if this will be a reboot of the most beloved crossover fighting game in history. But eventually, as time went on in 2017, more and more trailers dropped, showing off more characters, some old, many new, as well as official gameplay footage. But in one trailer in particular, it revealed the true name of this new JvC game, now called... JUMP VS.
